So I was on an amazing vacation in Acapulco with my good friend, Tammy. The trip was really spectacular. And although I desperately missed Izzy, I knew she was in the good hands of her daddy.
One day while her daddy was at work, Izzy went to daycare. The daycare offered a special puppy first grooming experience to help get puppies accustomed to grooming. It cost only 10 dollars. Concerned my husband would not brush her and do her hair like I would (in a little topknot), I made an appointment. They were to bathe her, comb her, and trim her nails - no actual hair would be cut.
Or at least it wasn't supposed to be....
Apparently, they had a new groomer who didn't realize what this little package included and didn't include. The new groomer cut off the hair that I had desperately been trying to grow out - the hair that surrounds her nose that starts out hiding her eyes, then sticks straight out, and then eventually falls down. In other words, it's a huge pain and has many bad stages and we had nearly gotten past the last bad stage.
And that dang groomer took us all the way back to square one...
Most people would be upset. I was more than upset - I screamed at my husband for not making clear what the groomer would and would not do, for not complaining to the groomer and manager, etc. Here I was at this beautiful resort and I spent hours screaming about Izzy's hair. Did I mention they cut off her beautiful eyelashes, too??
I am pretty sure that Tammy thought I was crazy and I can only hope that some time, in the many months it took for Izzy's hair to grow out, Tammy has forgiven me.
