It seems like just yesterday that we brought Izzy home from the breeder. She was so shy and scared to leave her littermates. She laid in my lap the entire four hour ride home and refused to go potty outside when we took breaks.
Being the planner that I am, I had read several books and websites about raising a puppy. I had read reviews of puppy toys and bought the most highly rated toys. I had read reviews of the nearby vets and already had an initial check up appointment with the best vet.
In other words, I was ready.
But never ever did I imagine how much work I was getting into or how much joy we had brought into our life.
