How is it possible to love two dogs so much? Seriously, they are just dogs. But that's just it. To me, they are more than dogs. They are my babies. They have distinct personalities. Izzy is a little princess, but not prissy. She's just accustomed to certain privileges. She definitely thinks she's one of us. I mean, she actually sleeps with her head on a pillow between me and my husband. My husband said it best, she thinks she's one of us and that we have a dog named Jaeger. Jaeger is all puppy, full of such joy and happiness. But he definitely throws a tantrum if he doesn't get his way. He'll bark and nip to force you to throw the ball as chasing a ball is his all time favorite thing to do. But most of the time he cheerfully trots around the house looking for new new things to explore, or new toys to play with.
Even my dog loving mom was a little taken aback by how much the dogs run the house and how I have turned what I wanted to be a sophisticated urban dwelling into a dog kennel with dog stuff everywhere. Did I mention that if we were ever so lucky to have children that I have always vowed not to be one of those parents who turns their house into their children's play room? Oh well, I guess I will worry about that later. For now, I am going to see what the babies are up to.
