Recently, we needed to get some new toys for the boys - toys to encourage sitting and standing (as if they need encouragement) and that teach them cause and effect. So I ordered some on Amazon Germany and received them the very next day (LOVE Amazon).

The toys are in German! On one hand, it is neat for them to hear numbers, colors, and other words in German. Studies have shown that fluency in multiple languages increases intelligence and brain capabilities. On the other hand, I do worry that the boys won't learn their numbers, colors, letters, and shapes in English, or at least not as well as in German. It is just a little weird. But more than that, I think it's a pretty cool and unexpected aspect of temporarily raising the boys in a foreign country.
