Puppies Are Not Always So Fun

Okay, I have another secret. It's not so much fun to have a puppy. I feel this way now and felt this way with Izzy at times, too (but don't tell her that). Puppies demand constant attention. It was especially hard with Izzy because I was used to having full and complete freedom. But adding a puppy to a family that already consists of another dog is not that much easier because there are fewer (if any) times when the puppy is just quietly playing with his toys or taking a nap - at least in this case. As I said, Izzy and Jaeger won't leave each other alone. Even when one finally settles down with a toy, the other one will try to take it away. In addition, Jaeger seems to love furniture (much more than his toys). So we have to guard it, too. My husband and I are constantly having to say "No!"

Although Jaeger starts puppy kindergarten next week, they won't teach him to read so I can rest assured knowing he won't be able to read about his mommy's secret thoughts about him.

Do these types of posts make me a terrible mommy?
