So I decided to at least get some toys for Izzy that she can play with when Jaeger is in his crate (a necessity when we leave the house I learned after discovering damage to about $10,000 worth of furniture). Off I went into PetSmart. I've concluded that PetSmart is as dangerous as Target - you leave with far more than you went in for.
I left with the following: Dog on tennis ball/rope toy, Squeaky Santa Duck, Martha Stewart soft ball, and three special squeaky toys that I picked up for Santa to give to the babies on Christmas morning (if I can wait that long). Of course, I also had to get a Martha Stewart toy box (so we have a toy box on each floor), a new winter jacket for Izzy, and two kinds of treats.
The dogs were in HEAVEN! They were soooo excited as I dispensed the new toys. Jaeger went off running up and down the hall with Izzy chasing behind. They had so much fun!
Then I heard weird chewing. Dog on tennis ball rope toy was done. Or at least the tennis ball.

About ten minutes later, I discovered that Squeaky Santa Duck had a partially detached wing.
Dang! That would be about $12 worth of toys gone in minutes! Oh well, in the interim, the puppies had a lot of fun and were certainly stimulated. Now if I can wait for Christmas to give them the rest of the toys.

P.S. While typing this post, I discovered Jaeger had completely destroyed the Squeaky Santa Duck. When I tried to take the toy away from Jaeger, Jaeger ran away. Gotta sign off and catch that darn dog!
