Hello 2012!

2012 has already been full of fun, and we're only on day 1!

The day started with some mischief. While my husband and I were enjoying some New Year's Day mimosas, I heard what sounded like a dog snoot in paper. We called for Jaeger. No Jaeger. I jump up (while feeding twin number 1), looked around the island and see Jaeger running off with a full stick of butter. My husband, quicker on his feet (but holding twin number 2) stopped him in his tracks. Jaeger dropped the remaining butter (after having already eaten half the stick, paper and all) and my husband reprimanded him.

Meanwhile, little Izzy sneaks in, grabs the remaining half and briskly trots off (hoping no one would notice). Unfortunately, for her, I noticed and chased her down. She dropped the butter on the boys' play mat and licked as much as she could before I could I took it away.

While these antics are completely unacceptable, they are kind of funny...

The day ended with some proud moments with the boys. Twin number 1 rolled over (twice) for the first time! He is a couple of days past 4 months. Twin number 2 made one of his toys play music for the first time. Very exciting stuff!

But the most exciting would be to get both boys sleeping in their cribs (all night) again. Twin number 2 has almost mastered this skill. Twin number 1, who once had no problem with his crib, has decided he prefers to sleep in his rocker or in his parent's arms. The boy is only four months old, yet I am scared of him. With his ear piercing screams, he is one formidable opponent to face in Operation Crib. Simply put, he is no ordinary four month old baby.

You can't get anything past this baby.

See what I mean? Wish us luck...
