Jaeger! It's pronouced "Yae-ger." For the record, it has nothing to do with Jaegermeister, which seems to be everyone's first reaction. It actually means hunter in German. My husband chose the name because he has dreams of going duck hunting with him when he's older.
Given everyone's first reaction, we actually considered choosing a different name, but my husband loved the name Jaeger so much that we decided we'd just have to ignore what everyone else thinks. His middle name will be Becket, the name the breeder originally used for him. I have to say that I loved the name Becket, but I think Jaeger actually suits him better (you tell me after you see some pictures of him).
