Munch!

On Friday, I went to the Edvard Munch exhibit at the Schirn Museum in Frankfurt.

I loved it and loved being back in a museum (it has been too long).  I learned so much about Munch and gained a new appreciation for his work.  I would have liked to have had the benefit of the audio tour, but surprisingly, it was not available in English (or in any language other than German).  The books available about the exhibit also only came in German.  Having been in museums all over the world, I was shocked that materials were only in German...  In addition, the only elevator available barely had room for me and the double stroller.  I literally had to squeeze myself into the elevator.  Regardless, it was a lovely time.

Bonus:  I discovered "Old Town" on my stroller ride to the Munch exhibit.  My husband had not even seen this part of Frankfurt before picking me up from the museum (to help us get down the stairs, which are not handicap/stroller accessible).  Anyway, we will definitely have to come back to both the Schirn and Old Town to learn more, but until then, here are some pictures of Old Town.
